No soap for the Internet!

…Stop SOPA and PIPA!

The Internet, and in particular, the World Wide Web, have been immensely successful in the past two decades. A lot of this success is due to the fact that the Internet has not been subject to a lot of governmental and corporate control. This has enabled a lot of filth to grow, it has given birth to new forms of crime, and it has led to numerous other problems. However, it also enabled people in the US and in countries all around the world to exercise their human right to free speech, to be creative, to cooperate, and to engage politically. In the early days of the Web, people could choose between the corporate-controlled, clean services of AOL, Compuserve, and the like, and the World Wide Web. And they chose the World Wide Web. The Internet shouldn’t be as corporate and happy and clean as Disneyland, because nobody wants to live in Disneyland.

Please, help keep the Internet dirty.
